The Tuli Block is often referred to as Botswana's hidden gem, where the untamed beauty of Africa's wilderness comes alive. Nestled between the Limpopo River and the Shashe River, this unique conservation area is renowned for its dramatic landscapes and rich biodiversity.
The area is famed for its large herds of elephants, often seen meandering through ancient baobab groves and along the riverbanks. The Tuli Block is also a predator's playground, with lions, leopards, and cheetahs frequently spotted on the prowl. Witness the raw power and elegance of these big cats as they navigate the rocky outcrops and open plains in search of prey. The thrill of spotting a leopard lounging in a tree or a lion pride basking in the sun is a moment that will stay with you forever.
Beyond the big game, the Tuli Block boasts a rich avian diversity, making it a birdwatcher's paradise. From the striking martial eagle to the colorful lilac-breasted roller, the skies are alive with a vibrant array of birdlife. The region's varied habitats, including riverine forests, mopane woodlands, and scrubland, support an incredible range of species, each adapted to its own unique environment.
Botswana awaits.

MIKE PHELPS
PHOTOGRAPHIC HOST
Joining me in Botswana as a photographic host will be good friend and incredible wildlife photographer Mike Phelps. Mike and I will each be on a game vehicle with 3 guests to ensure an exclusive small group experience.
Keeping the group small, also means that we are able to have far better flexibility with shooting positions from the open safari vehicles.
ACCOMMODATION
Our accommodation will be an authentic, unfenced tented camp and will give guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature.
For a touch of luxury, we will have our own private chef.
ITINERARY
Day 1 - Travel to Johannesburg OR Tambo airport, where you will be picked up for a 6 hour private road transfer across the border into Botswana. We will meet at the lodge and have refreshments and an evening game drive upon arrival and a delicious evening meal.
Day 2 to 7 - We awake most days at 05:00 for coffee/tea and snacks before departing for our morning game drive. Mid-drive we will stop for a hot drink and some snacks in the bush before returning to the lodge for a full breakfast, some relaxation time and a lunch prepared by our private chef.
Between drives, guests will also have time to explore the abundant wildlife around the (unfenced) camp.
At around 16:00 we will depart for our evening game drive, again stopping mid-way through for a famous ‘sundowner’ - an evocative aperitif in spectacular African surroundings. After the sundowner, we will proceed slowly back to the lodge enjoying a ‘night drive’ on the way, to take in some of the nocturnal spectacles that only the African bush can offer.
Each evening, we will be served an à la carte meal prepared by our private chef. The bar as always, will be open for evening drinks to enjoy with stories of the days sightings.
Day 8 - After a morning game drive guests will transfer from the lodge to Johannesberg and then fly home.

NOTES
June in Botswana is their dry, winter season, Min 9°C (48°F) Max 31°C (84°F), meaning clear skies and more pleasant temperatures. Thinned vegetation means an increased concentration of game and therefore a good chance of predator sightings.
We will have exclusive use of the lodge.
The lodge is completely unfenced, meaning that wildlife can freely roam around the camp and often does. There is always security on patrol for guest safety.
